Nollywood filmmaker and actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele d’Icon, has reached another major milestone after his movie series Koleoso surpassed 141.6 million combined views on YouTube.
The figure, accumulated across the series’ 13 parts, has made Koleoso one of the biggest African movie successes on the platform. Yekini announced the milestone on Tuesday, describing it as a landmark achievement for himself, his team and Nollywood.
According to view figures released by the filmmaker, the series recorded 9.8 million views for Part 1, 9.9 million for Part 2, 8.9 million for Part 3, 10 million each for Parts 4 and 5, and 12 million each for Parts 6, 7 and 8.
Parts 9 and 10 recorded 13 million and 16 million views respectively, while Parts 11, 12 and 13 attracted 9.9 million, 9.4 million and 8.7 million views.
Yekini dedicated the achievement to the fans who have followed the series, as well as the cast and crew responsible for bringing the production to viewers.
“Let me take my flowers. This is a win for Nollywood and a source of pride for Africa,” the filmmaker said, while thanking viewers for watching, sharing and supporting the project.
The actor also praised the production team, describing the milestone as a collective achievement rather than an individual victory.
Koleoso previously crossed the 100 million cumulative-view mark earlier in 2026, becoming the first Nollywood and African movie title to reach that milestone across multiple parts on a single YouTube channel.
The series has attracted viewers in Nigeria and across the African diaspora, combining Yoruba cultural elements, supernatural themes and family drama.
With its view count continuing to rise, the latest milestone further highlights the growing reach of Nollywood productions on digital platforms, particularly YouTube.
For Itele d’Icon, the success of Koleoso represents more than a personal achievement, with the filmmaker describing the record as a victory shared by the entire Koleoso family and a proud moment for African cinema.
