Yari Names Three Factors He Says Could Secure Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has identified President Bola Tinubu’s faith in God, his administration’s performance and the campaign organisation’s ability to win public support as three factors that could influence the outcome of the 2027 presidential election.
Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State, made the remarks while speaking with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined Tinubu and other prominent Nigerians for the Umrah pilgrimage.
Footage of the interview, conducted during the President’s visit, was obtained in Abuja on Saturday.
According to Yari, the three factors would play significant roles in the President’s bid for a second term. He also reaffirmed the APC-PCC’s commitment to persuading Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
His comments followed Tinubu’s media interaction in Saudi Arabia on Friday, during which the President expressed confidence in his faith and said his political future rested in the hands of God.
“I believe that Allah’s wish in His court must prevail. And there’s no other God but Allah. Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be, and what he will become,” Tinubu said.
Yari described the President’s response as a demonstration of leadership, noting that Tinubu had prayed for Nigeria and its citizens before addressing questions about his re-election prospects.
“That is what makes a leader, because when you ask him, he first prayed for the country, prayed for every Nigerian and also he says this election is an election that God has selected the person who will be a leader, and only Him that can put a leader or otherwise,” Yari said.
The APC-PCC director-general added that the campaign organisation would complement its reliance on faith with practical political mobilisation, including engaging voters and presenting the administration’s achievements.
“So in total, I depend on Allah to do it for him as he did it for him in 2023. By that, Allah says we should work, that all the procedures we are undertaking, to campaign, to talk to people, to convince them, to show them what we have done, what we have achieved and that by His grace, people will be convinced to elect us,” he said.
Yari maintained that the campaign council would continue working to secure public support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
