Chike Osebuka, popularly known as Chike, has released a new single titled “Pity My Soul” at a time when he is at the centre of online discussions over an alleged relationship involving Sandra Onyenucheya, estranged wife of media personality Frank Edoho.
The Afro-Soul artist released the track featuring his elder brother Syemca, with the song now available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack and YouTube Music.
Blending RnB and Afro-Soul influences, “Pity My Soul” carries reflective lyrics that explore emotional strain, empathy and personal struggle, staying true to Chike’s reputation for deeply expressive storytelling.
Prior to the release, Chike had teased fans on his verified X account, @officialchike, posting simply: “Pity My Soul!”, a message many followers interpreted as a subtle emotional response to the ongoing social media controversy.
The timing of the release has drawn mixed reactions from fans and commentators. While some listeners believe the song reflects Chike’s personal emotions amid public scrutiny, others argue that the controversy may be inadvertently boosting attention around the project.
Chike has not publicly addressed the allegations linking him to Sandra Onyenucheya, and the claims remain unverified.
The new single arrives during a period of heightened public attention for the singer, best known for his debut album Boo of the Booless, which helped establish him as one of Nigeria’s leading Afro-Soul voices.
