Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has announced she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs, even as her high-profile divorce case with fellow rapper Offset drags on in court.
The Bronx-born superstar confirmed the pregnancy during an interview with Gayle King on Wednesday.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited,” she revealed with a smile.
When asked how she was feeling, Cardi B added: “I feel safe, feeling confident. It makes you feel like you can take over the world.”
The news comes as the 31-year-old artist remains locked in a legal battle with her estranged husband Offset, whom she married in 2017.
In August 2024, Cardi filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Offset, in a February 2025 response, requested joint custody of their three children and asked that Cardi’s home serve as their primary residence. By May 2025, he had also sought spousal support as part of the divorce proceedings.
The pregnancy revelation has added another dramatic twist to the ongoing saga, drawing attention from both the entertainment and sports worlds. Diggs, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans, has been publicly linked to Cardi B since early 2025.
While fans celebrate the rapper’s new chapter, the unfolding divorce battle with Offset continues to raise questions about custody, finances, and family dynamics in one of hip-hop’s most-watched breakups.
