Sola Sobowale Opens Residential Care Home for Older Adults in Ibadan

Veteran Nollywood actress Sola Sobowale has opened Joseph and Esther Homes, a residential care facility for older adults in the Akobo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The facility was commissioned on Tuesday by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who toured its indoor and outdoor premises and commended the initiative.

Named in honour of Sobowale’s parents, Joseph and Esther, the project provides a dedicated residential care facility for older adults.

The commissioning marks a new development in the actress’s activities beyond the entertainment industry, with the facility focused on providing accommodation and care for elderly residents.

Governor Makinde’s presence at the event highlighted the state government’s recognition of the initiative and its potential contribution to elderly care in the community.

Joseph and Esther Homes is located in Akobo, Ibadan, and adds to the growing conversation around structured residential support and care for older people in Nigeria.
