Davido’s Aide Offers Cash Reward for Missing Phone at Zlatan’s Wedding

Damilare Aladegbola, popularly known as Dre and an aide to Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido, has offered a cash reward to anyone who returns his phone, which he says went missing during rapper Zlatan Ibile’s traditional wedding in Lagos.

Dre made the appeal in a post on his Instagram page on Monday, asking the person who allegedly took the device to return it in exchange for money.

“If na u carry my phone for Zlatan wedding, abeg return am, I go give you money please,” he wrote.

The aide also expressed frustration over what he described as a possible pattern of phones going missing at social gatherings. He questioned the practice of waiters asking guests whether they had finished eating before clearing plates from tables.

According to Dre, such moments could create opportunities for phones left on tables to disappear. He warned that he would react angrily if waiters approached him in that manner at future events.

“From now on, if I go any party or dey any party and any stupid waitress tell me say are you done eating so I can pack your plate, na swear I go swear for you cause na pattern wey una dey use pack phone for table be that now,” he added.

However, Dre did not identify anyone suspected of taking his phone or provide further details about the circumstances surrounding its disappearance. His comments did not establish that any waiter was involved in the incident.

The reported loss occurred during the traditional wedding of Zlatan Ibile, whose real name is Omoniyi Raphael, and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai.

The ceremony took place in Lagos on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and attracted several entertainers and other personalities from Nigeria’s music and entertainment industries.

Davido was among the prominent guests at the celebration and reportedly played a leading role among the groom’s men.

Dre’s appeal has drawn attention to the reported loss of the phone, although details about the device and whether it has been recovered remain unknown.
