YouTube sensation MrBeast has officially married his longtime partner, Thea Booysen, in an intimate ceremony held on Richard Branson’s exclusive Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
The world’s biggest YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, shared the happy news with fans through a joint Instagram post featuring stunning photos from the ceremony. Captioning the post, the 28-year-old simply wrote that he had “found MrsBeast,” while later describing the occasion as “the best day of my life.”
The couple got engaged on Christmas Day in 2024 after Donaldson proposed while they were both dressed in matching MrBeast-themed festive sweaters. Although famous for creating extravagant online challenges and viral spectacles, Donaldson had previously revealed that he wanted his proposal and wedding to remain private and focused on close family and friends.
Wedding photos showed Booysen wearing a floor-length lace gown decorated with floral details, while Donaldson appeared in a classic white tuxedo. Booysen later changed into two additional outfits during the celebration, including a sparkling white mini dress for the cake-cutting ceremony and an elegant off-the-shoulder satin gown for the evening festivities.
Donaldson has become one of the most influential digital creators in the world, amassing more than 500 million subscribers across his online platforms. His YouTube empire is built on elaborate challenges, philanthropic giveaways and high-budget productions that have attracted audiences from around the globe.
Beyond YouTube, he co-created Beast Games, a Prime Video reality competition inspired by the global success of Squid Game. The series sees contestants compete in a series of demanding challenges for a grand prize of $5 million (£3.7 million).
Booysen, originally from South Africa, is also a successful content creator. She runs the YouTube channel TheaBeasty, which has nearly 140,000 subscribers, streams gaming content on Twitch, and is a published author.
Despite his enormous success, Donaldson has also faced public scrutiny in recent years. His company, Beast Industries, was sued by a former employee in April over allegations of workplace gender discrimination and sexual harassment. He has also faced legal action linked to contestants on Beast Games, alongside recurring claims that some of his viral giveaways and competitions are staged—allegations that have continued to generate debate online.
