Odunlade Adekola Celebrates Wife Ruth on Birthday, Recalls How He Won Her Heart

Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has celebrated his wife, Deaconess Ruth Abosede Adekola, on her birthday, recalling how he approached her more than two decades ago and eventually made her his partner.

The actor shared the birthday tribute in an Instagram post on Monday, November 2, 2026, reflecting on their first encounter about 22 years ago and the moment he expressed his interest in her.

According to Adekola, he walked up to Ruth and directly told her that he saw the qualities he wanted in a partner, asking whether she would agree to be with him.

“I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago! I walked up to her and said My friend! I see what I want in you, can you be mine?” he wrote.

The actor also revealed that he became fully engaged to her about 20 years ago, describing her affectionately as “the MOTHER of our KINGS”.

Expressing his enduring love, Adekola declared that his wife remained his number one supporter and promised to cherish her.

“I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER MY NUMBER ONE FAN,” he wrote.

He also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon their home and wished her a happy birthday, adding a warm message in Yoruba.

“God will continue to bless your home. Wa je ounje omo ooooo, Amin. Happy birthday to you my friend,” he added.
