Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has stirred widespread reactions after revealing she would readily give up fame if offered enough money.
Speaking during an interview with Odira Ndubuaku, the reality TV star said financial freedom matters far more to her than public recognition, insisting that fame without wealth holds little value.
Mercy Eke stated that she is only comfortable with fame “occasionally” and would not hesitate to step away from the spotlight if the right offer came along.
She went further to say she would accept a $2 billion deal to completely exit public life, including deleting her social media presence and withdrawing from online influence.
In her words, she questioned the value of fame, stressing that she would prefer financial security over popularity if forced to choose between both.
The reality star added that with such wealth, she could afford an island home and secure a comfortable life for herself and her family, away from public pressure.
Her comments have since sparked debate among fans and social media users, with many weighing the realities of fame against financial independence in the entertainment industry.
