A private security guard employed at a school in Aba, Abia State, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a three-year-old pupil after school hours on Friday, police confirmed.

The incident occurred at the school on Umuosi Road by Ibadan Road, while the child was waiting for her parents to pick her up. Reports indicate the suspect allegedly dragged the girl to a secluded area of the school before returning to his duty post.

A resident, Brian Ogukwe, said the crime came to light when the child began walking in pain, attracting public attention. Subsequent checks by her parents and local residents confirmed the attack, prompting them to report the matter to the school authorities and the police.
