Koboko, a prominent Nigerian comedian and digital creator, has lashed out at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the continued bloodshed in Benue State, saying the President has failed Nigerians.

Despite a torrential downpour, Koboko and members of his content team staged a passionate protest in Makurdi on Tuesday, June 18, 2025, demanding immediate government intervention in the wave of killings sweeping across communities in the state.

Clutching boldly written placards with messages like “Benue Is Bleeding,” “Stop Benue Killings,” “Is Benue Not Part of Nigeria?” and “May Tinubu Not Happen To Us In 2027,” the protesters voiced the frustration of thousands of Nigerians who feel abandoned by the nation’s leadership.

Taking to his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, Koboko shared images from the protest alongside a piercing caption: “Tinubu has failed us.” The post has since gone viral, drawing a flood of support, outrage, and renewed calls for justice for the victims of recent massacres in Yelewata and other parts of the state.

Koboko, known for using satire and comedy to highlight social issues, went a step further this time by putting his body on the frontline. “When comedy stops being enough, you hit the streets,” one supporter tweeted in response to the protest images.

Many online commentators hailed the protest as one of the boldest displays of celebrity activism in the wake of the Yelewata massacre, where over 300 villagers were reportedly killed in a coordinated night assault by armed assailants, widely believed to be herdsmen.

With mounting criticism over what has been described as Tinubu’s lukewarm response to the tragedy, Koboko’s protest adds to growing public pressure on the federal government to act decisively—or risk losing public trust ahead of the 2027 elections.
