Two students from the Federal Polytechnic in Bida, Niger State, were discovered dead in a room at the FMC Quarters in Bida town on Sunday morning.

The deceased, identified only as Mr. Bam and Aisha, were found when they did not emerge from their room after daybreak. Sources suggest they might have ingested poisonous food, leading to their untimely deaths.

Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the tragic event on Monday. He reported that the DPO of B Division in Bida led police operatives to the scene, where they had to force the door open. Inside, they found the bodies lying on the floor of the sitting room.
