President Muhammadu Buhari has joined the family of former Secretary-General of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Col. Musa Sheikh Shehu, in mourning his passing.

Musa Sheikh Shehu served the country in many leadership positions, including military administrator of Rivers and Plateau States, according to the presidency.

The President commiserated with members and leaders of the ACF, friends and associates of the former military officer.

President Buhari’s condolence was disclosed in a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Monday.

President Buhari prays that Allah, in His mercy, will grant the departed soul Jannah Firdausi.

Shehu died on Sunday morning at his residence in Abuja, according to a former Director of Army Public Relations, retired Brig Gen SK Usman.

“He will be buried according to Islamic injunctions after Janazah (funeral) prayer at Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque, Apo, Abuja by 1.00pm today,” he said.

The deceased was a non-executive director on the Board of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc and former Secretary-General of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).
