Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about an unusual tactic he says he used during his university days, admitting that he pursued romantic relationships partly because he wanted the women to prepare meals for him.
Speaking on the Lahor Podcast, the actor said cooking was one of the few things he struggled with as a student. He revealed that he would approach different women, build relationships with them and rely on them to cook for him.
Iyke said his approach was not always based on genuine romantic interest. He admitted that once a woman had prepared food for him, he would end the relationship and move on to someone else.
The actor recalled that his strategy eventually caught up with him after one of the women discovered what he was doing. He said the incident quickly damaged his reputation among women in his department.
“The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking,” Iyke said while recounting his university experience.
He explained that he repeatedly pursued women because they could cook for him, but acknowledged that his actions had consequences once he was exposed. The actor said the incident led to women in his department refusing to give him further opportunities.
Iyke’s revelation adds another personal story to his recent podcast appearances, where he has spoken openly about relationships, family and his experiences in the entertainment industry.
