In what was tagged the first batch of endorsement of Imo artistes, singer cum rapper Cynthia Anyiam aka LadyG will now be working with Afropop legend Tuface Idibia in his Now Music Entertainment outfit.

At the event which had the Chief of Staff to Government House Owerri, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu present, artistes were charged to work hard because it could be anyone in the next batch of the endorsement.

Speaking after signing the contract, Tuface said; “Imo people, make una watch out and see wein go happen”

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu however, urged him to abandon other projects and focus on LadyG to ensure she becomes a known name in the country within a short time.

In the other highpoint of the event, more than 30 individuals drawn from various genres of entertainment in the state received cheques of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) each from Imo State Government in what the Chief of Staff called ‘share the money’.

The financial empowerment which was the fulfilment of the promise made by the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in April at the Imo Artiste Conference was extended to many others, including winners of the April contests who were originally in the plan.

Speaking, Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno, the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Entertainment hailed Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as a Youth Empowerment icon who has facilitated the event which will go a long way in helping entertainers in the state.

Hon. Irouno added; “Because it is the first batch and there are many artistes in the state, this empowerment more of on a representative capacity and we should know that injury to one, is injury to all, just as blessing to one, is blessing to all, like I said earlier”

Also at the event are the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo; SSA on Electronic Media to the Governor, Dr. Ebere Nzewuji, Member Ebonyi State House of Assemby, for Afikpo LGA Maria Ude Nwachi, also known as Afikpo Chick; SSA to Social Media, Anayochukwu Absiodu Idiong among other government officials.
