National Treasurer Mani Ahmad insists African Democratic Congress is regrouping to build a stronger strategy ahead of 2027 general elections.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned that the outcomes of the recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council polls and bye-elections in Kano and Rivers States should not be seen as indicative of its performance in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, ADC National Treasurer, Mani Ahmad, said the party is actively working to unite its leadership, integrate experienced members, and develop a coherent strategy to improve future results.
He reacted to the recent elections where the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won five Area Councils in the FCT and cleared the bye-elections in Rivers and Kano States, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clinched Gwagwalada Area Council.
“If anybody expects that the results of these elections in the FCT, Rivers, and Kano would be our scorecard and that nothing will change in 2027, then they will be in for a big surprise,” Ahmad said.
He added that significant efforts are underway to strengthen the party’s front line, optimize leadership experience, and formulate a clear roadmap for winning upcoming elections. “The party and its members are dedicated to this objective,” he emphasized.
