Plateau United secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Shooting Stars at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, with technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote praising his players for their impressive performance.

Ogunbote, who previously managed Shooting Stars, expressed satisfaction in defeating his former club and credited motivation and encouragement as key to the team’s success.

“It’s always a thing of joy to win your former team, that was a team I know inside out and have a lot of influence,” Ogunbote said after the match in Jos.
“Apart from that, I needed to encourage my players too, which really worked for us. We really worked hard for the game and the boys responded positively.”
