The pro-Tinubu political support group, Tinubu for Better Nigeria (TBN), has announced plans to stage a “2 Million-Man March” in Owerri, Imo State, on October 31, 2025, as part of a major mobilisation drive across the South East.

According to Ebere Chukwuemeka, the group’s coordinator, the rally will gather supporters from all five states in the region and is aimed at building grassroots solidarity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his reform agenda.

Chukwuemeka said the demonstration is not simply a rally but “a movement to show that the South East stands with President Tinubu at this critical point in Nigeria’s history.”

He praised Tinubu’s economic policies as “tough but necessary measures” designed to stabilise the economy and drive long-term recovery.
“These reforms are the bitter pills we need for a stronger economy,” he added.

South East Interventions Highlighted

The group highlighted the administration’s ongoing interventions in the region, including the acceleration of work on the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway, both of which had suffered decades of neglect.

Organisers say the rally will attract youth groups, market associations, and political stakeholders, underlining what they describe as a growing push to integrate the South East into Tinubu’s vision of a “united, prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.”

The march is expected to be one of the largest political gatherings in the South East this year, with TBN promising a show of strength in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
