Tears flowed and drums rolled as High Chief Dr. Sunny Onyenweson, popularly known as Akurulo of ihiagwa, gave his beloved sister, Late Mrs. Victoria Iheomakanwa Okoro (Nee Onyenweson), a befitting farewell in Umuchima Ihiagwa, Owerri West LGA, Imo State.

The emotional ceremony, which began with a Christian wake on July 31 and climaxed on Friday, August 1, 2025, attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.

The Event celebrated the life of a woman remembered for her beauty, humility, and deep devotion to the Catholic Church.

Victoria, aged 62, was the wife of Mr. Christian Chiaka Okoro and a respected member of St. Michael’s Catholic Parish, Ihiagwa. Her final journey began with a funeral Mass at the parish and concluded with interment at her husband’s compound.

An outing/thanksgiving Mass held on Sunday, August 3, sealed the celebration of a life well lived.
