The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning to computer-based test (CBT) centres engaging in nighttime registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), citing serious safety and security concerns for prospective candidates.
In a statement released on Sunday, February 9, 2025, by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board stressed that while it acknowledges the efforts of some centres to accommodate more candidates, such practices must not come at the risk of their personal safety.
List of Centres Violating JAMB Regulations
JAMB has publicly identified ten centres violating its guidelines, warning that this will be the final notice before sanctions are imposed. The centres include:

JAMB’s Firm Stance on Registration Ethics
JAMB reiterated its commitment to fairness and transparency, stating that it will not tolerate any centre engaging in exploitative or questionable practices during the UTME registration process.
“The Board remains committed to monitoring the registration process to ensure strict adherence to all guidelines, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the exercise and promoting fairness and equity,” JAMB stated.
Candidates and parents are advised to avoid any registration centres that violate JAMB guidelines, as the Board is set to take decisive action against erring centres.
