Nigerian Model Rachel Ojuromi Makes Chanel Runway Debut at Paris Fashion Week

Nigerian model Rachel Ojuromi has reached a major milestone in her modelling career after making her debut on the Chanel runway during Paris Fashion Week.
The 22-year-old model attracted widespread attention after sharing fashion-focused videos online from Lagos. Her content quickly gained traction, with viewers calling for her to be signed by a major modelling agency and given opportunities on international runways.
Ojuromi’s rise gained further momentum in July when she recreated Chanel’s 2026 Métiers d’Art show in Nigeria. The performance showcased her interest in the luxury fashion house and helped draw more attention to her growing online presence.
On October 5, Ojuromi revealed that she had relocated to Europe through a social media video. She shared her excitement at seeing the Eiffel Tower while expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pursue her modelling career internationally.
Her appearance at Chanel’s Paris show has since generated an enthusiastic response online, with fans praising her journey from Lagos to one of the world’s most prestigious fashion runways.
Several social media users described Ojuromi as deserving of the opportunity and praised the work she had put into building her career. Others welcomed Chanel’s apparent openness to new faces in the fashion industry.
Ojuromi’s runway debut came during Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation in Paris. The collection drew inspiration from the evolution of Chanel founder Gabrielle Chanel and featured a wide range of designs.
The show also featured an archival 2.55 handbag once owned by Gabrielle Chanel, which became one of the presentation’s standout pieces. The collection further highlighted the fashion house’s blend of its heritage with a new creative direction.
For Ojuromi, the Chanel appearance represents a striking step in a journey that began with fashion videos from Lagos and has now taken her to one of the biggest stages in global fashion.
