OlajumokeNigerian model Olajumoke Orisaguna has pushed back strongly against online speculation about her lifestyle after a viral TikTok video triggered a wave of reactions from concerned fans.

The clip, which showed the former bread seller turned model singing in what appeared to be a freestyle performance, quickly gained traction online. While some viewers saw it as harmless entertainment, others questioned her appearance and behaviour, with rumours emerging that she may have taken up smoking or drinking.

Responding to the backlash, Olajumoke—widely known as “Olajumoke Onibread”—addressed the issue on Instagram, making it clear that the assumptions were misplaced. She expressed frustration over what she described as unfair judgments about her personal life.

“I’m not happy about the comments I saw on my video. Some people were saying that I now smoke and drink alcohol. Why would anyone think that about me? It was just content,” she said, urging followers to separate entertainment from reality.

She went further to firmly deny any involvement in substance use, insisting that such habits are inconsistent with her upbringing. According to her, even in social settings where alcohol is offered, she chooses not to partake.

“I don’t smoke or drink, I wasn’t raised that way. Please, I’m begging you all, don’t give me a reputation that isn’t mine,” she added.

Olajumoke also clarified that the song featured in the video was not her original work, reinforcing that the clip was purely creative expression meant for social media engagement rather than a reflection of her lifestyle.

Her response has reignited public interest in her journey, which remains one of Nigeria’s most remarkable stories of sudden fame. In 2016, she gained international attention after accidentally walking into a photoshoot featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah. The moment, captured by photographer TY Bello, transformed her life overnight.

From selling bread on the streets of Lagos, she quickly rose to become a recognised face in fashion, appearing in campaigns and on runways. However, her sudden exit from the spotlight later raised questions about her wellbeing and career direction.

In recent years, she has gradually rebuilt her public presence. In 2024, she returned with a radio show, “Kilon Shele,” where she opened up about her experiences, including challenges with management and personal struggles in her past marriage
