Media personality Priscilla Ojo has opened up about the intense public speculation her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, faced before the couple welcomed their first child together.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo shared on Instagram, Priscilla said many people in Tanzania questioned Jux’s ability to father children because he remained childless at the age of 35 despite being a major celebrity with previous public relationships.

According to her, the singer came under pressure from fans and critics who compared him to colleagues in the entertainment industry who already had children or baby mamas. She said the rumours eventually grew into widespread assumptions about his fertility.

“In his country Tanzania, people thought he was impotent because he did not have a child or babymama like many of his friends and colleagues,” she said. “They were like, ‘Why is he not having kids like his friends?’ Because obviously, he has been in past relationships.”

Priscilla, however, defended her husband, describing him as disciplined and intentional about his personal life and family decisions. She explained that Jux simply chose to wait until he was fully prepared for fatherhood rather than bowing to public pressure.

“He knew when it was time. He is very disciplined. He knew what he wanted. You can roll with certain people and not be like them,” she added.

The social media personality also disclosed that the rumours did not completely stop after the birth of their son. According to her, some online users claimed the baby was born through surrogacy or implantation, further fuelling speculation around the couple.

Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux officially tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in Tanzania in February 2025. The couple later held their traditional and white weddings in April 2025, drawing attention across Nigeria and Tanzania.

They welcomed their son, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025, a moment that was widely celebrated by fans and followers on social media.
