Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has opened up about the moment he met Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo, describing it as love at first sight. Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Jux revealed that he met his wife in Rwanda, unaware at the time of her celebrity status.
The singer explained that it was Priscilla’s beauty that first caught his attention, but it was her communication skills and personality that convinced him she was the one to marry. “When I saw her, it was love-at-first-sight. I was like, ‘Wow! This girl is beautiful, I like her,’” he said.
Jux added that he only learned of Priscilla’s fame after hosting her in Zanzibar, when blogs and media outlets highlighted her celebrity status. Despite this revelation, his admiration for her had already grown significantly.
He noted that marrying Priscilla has positively influenced his career, particularly by expanding his fanbase in Nigeria and across West Africa. The union, he said, has strengthened his visibility in the region’s music industry.
The couple officially tied the knot earlier this year, cementing their cross-border romance that has captured fans’ attention. Juma Jux emphasized that the marriage was built on genuine connection and shared values rather than fame or public recognition.
Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo welcomed their first child, a son named Rakeem, in Canada on August 24, 2025. The singer described fatherhood as an enriching experience that has brought the couple even closer.
Fans and followers continue to celebrate the couple’s story, highlighting their love as a testament to how relationships can thrive despite cultural and national differences. Juma Jux’s reflections offer a personal glimpse into the human side of celebrity life.
