Nigerian senator and businessman Ned Nwoko has sparked debate after describing monogamy as “like standing on one leg” while defending his polygamous lifestyle amid ongoing marital tensions with his fourth wife, actress Regina Daniels.
Speaking with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV on Sunday night, Nwoko said he felt sympathy for men with only one wife, claiming that multiple marriages provide balance in life.
“Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg, you know how difficult it is. But it is much more balanced to stand on two, three, or four. I feel sorry for those with one wife. I don’t have any regrets, and I will do the same thing again,” he stated.
The comments come amid a highly publicised domestic dispute. A viral video circulating online recently showed Regina Daniels accusing her husband of domestic violence, while Nwoko countered by alleging substance abuse issues.
Adding fuel to ongoing divorce speculations, Regina Daniels posted a photograph on Sunday evening showing herself on the balcony of a new house, prompting claims that she may have moved out of her marital home in Lagos State. The image was captioned:
“I needed a roof over my head.”
The post has intensified rumours about a potential separation, leaving fans and followers closely watching developments in the high-profile couple’s relationship.
