Relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has delivered a scathing response to critics casting doubt on her engagement to controversial auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, aka IVD. In a no-holds-barred video posted to her Instagram on July 9, 2025, she accused naysayers of projecting unresolved trauma and broken views of love onto her relationship.

The outspoken life coach, whose romantic involvement with IVD has generated waves online, accused trolls of rooting for her downfall out of fear and bitterness. She described critics as “damaged,” not as an insult, but as individuals who have internalized pain so deeply that they view joy and emotional vulnerability as weakness or deception.

Blessing CEO argued that repeated exposure to failed celebrity marriages has led many into believing that authentic love is unattainable. “You’ve watched your idols fall apart, so you no longer believe in forever. Social media has corrupted your faith in love,” she stated. “You’re not healed, and because you’re afraid to feel, you want everyone else to stay broken too.”

In a passionate defense of emotional resilience, she maintained that true love involves disagreements, forgiveness, and growth. She likened romantic relationships to partnerships between strangers, asserting that love isn’t about perfection but about learning to forgive “seventy times seven.”

Despite her turbulent past, Blessing insisted that she deserves happiness and urged others to unlearn cynicism. She challenged viewers to stop generalizing all relationships based on a few toxic experiences. “The real tragedy isn’t heartbreak, it’s not knowing how to open your heart again,” she said.

This latest video reignites public interest in Blessing and IVD’s relationship, which began shortly after the latter’s widely publicized legal and domestic controversies following the death of his wife. Many have accused Blessing of clout-chasing, while others view her relationship as an act of defiant self-love.

She closed her message by asking critics to go on their own healing journeys. “You think negative in the face of positivity because you are emotionally damaged,” she said. “Heal, so that when good things come your way, you’ll stop pushing them away.”
