Gospel singer Joyce is grateful to God for adding another year to her age on Wednesday May 22, 2013.
The singer who released her debut single, ‘Because You love me’ months after her 16th birthday last year will clock 17 on Wednesday.
According to her, it will be her first birthday as an artiste and she wants to use it to appreciate people who have supported her musical career especially in the promotion of her singer ‘Because You love me’.

“I am grateful to God for everything I have received. I could not have paid for all of them, but God made me received those favours from men. He has used people to help me and as much as I am grateful to God, I am also grateful to everyone whom he has used in one way or the other to improve me as an artiste, a student and a girl” She said.
The first batch of her birthday celebration will be at Hot 99.5 FM Owerri, where she would be saying ‘thank you’ to the crew for playing her songs, especial Eizzy who was the first to play the song on air, while the next session will be with friends and family at home.
Joyce however said that it has not been easy combining school and music especially at the secondary level where one is not allowed to go out at will.
But having completed her secondary school education, she is certain that the break that leads to the preparation for university will surely afford her the opportunity to improve as an artiste.
“When I look at how far I have gone, I realize there is still so much to be done. I can’t say that age is on my side because people younger than I am have achieved greater things. I just want to keep improving so that by the time I’ll be having about three singles out there, my name would be a name to reckon with in the gospel music industry” she added.
