This leadership change follows the recent appointment of Professor Stella Ngozi Lemchi as the first substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university on January 23, 2025. Professor Lemchi had previously served in an acting capacity from July 25, 2024, and played a pivotal role in transitioning the institution from a college to a university.
