Popular Nigerian skit maker, Nasty Blaq, has voiced his frustration over what he perceives as increasing “disrespect” toward superstar musician Davido. According to Blaq, the ongoing online criticism against the DMW label boss has been excessive, particularly considering Davido’s consistent efforts to help others. Blaq expressed his concern in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “The disrespect Davido is getting is way too much. Man just wants to help people, and that’s all.”

His statement follows a recent incident involving content creator Korty EO, who accused Davido’s team of backtracking on an agreement regarding a video interview. Korty claimed she was initially permitted to post the interview but was later instructed not to publish it, citing unspecified reasons. She voiced her frustration, stating, “They agreed I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post it… If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show. Stop wasting my time.”

Nasty Blaq’s call for respect comes at a time when Davido, known for his philanthropic gestures, has frequently found himself the target of online controversies. Supporters of the singer have also urged audiences to recognize his generosity and contributions to Nigerian entertainment and charity, rather than focusing on isolated incidents.
