Early voting for the upcoming United States presidential election has officially commenced in Nebraska and Washington DC, with voters preparing to cast their ballots ahead of the November 5 election. Nebraska, traditionally a Republican stronghold, could play a crucial role this year due to its unique electoral vote distribution system, providing an opening for candidates like Vice President Kamala Harris.

Nebraska began its absentee voting process on Monday, allowing voters to request ballots without providing any justification. Absentee ballot applications must be received by October 25, and all ballots must be submitted to state officials by November 5. In-person early voting in Nebraska will start on October 7 and run through November 4.
