The Ondo State Government has stated that the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu died of protracted prostate cancer and not leukemia as it was earlier reported.

Multiple reports claimed that Akeredolu died of leukemia in Germany in the early hours of Wednesday.

However, the Ondo state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju in a statement stated that Akeredolu died of complications arising from protracted prostate cancer.
