The legislative arm of Oyo East local government has suspended the Chairman of the area, Mr. Saheed Arowosaye.
The leader of the House, Idowu Okunade made this declaration while speaking with DAILY POST on Wednesday.
Okunade claimed the local government chairman was suspended over alleged misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
The local government chairman was suspended during an emergency plenary.
He said, “You are speaking with the leader of the House. I am the leader of the House. Honourable Idowu Okunade by name.
“It is on misappropriation of local government funds and abuse of office.
“That is the main allegation we levied against him”.
But, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get a reaction from the chairman proved to be abortive.
Several telephone calls put through to the mobile phone of the chairman were not answered while an SMS sent to him has not been replied to as of the time of filing this report on Wednesday.
