it’s talent for me, not curves and beauty – Actress Oluchi Nwabuzor

Nollywood actress Oluchi Nwabuzor has said that while people are always looking up to actresses especially to be beautiful with perfect bodies, it is the talent that makes a star.

The actress who spoke in an Enugu movie location said that people expecting perfect bodies from actresses force them into doing everything possible to look good, while others go as far as faking it.

“We are humans and not robots. It hurts that in most cases, our male colleagues are judged by their talents while people expect us to be talented with a perfect body”

“People don’t care what you go through to get the body. People don’t even care if it is fake. They just want to see it on the screens and that often hurts”, she said.

Oluchi said that she is on a path to becoming one of the best in the industry and hopefully beyond it. She added that beyond being in movies that will be seen globally, she also wants to film and be recognized around the world.

“I how beautiful I am and I also work hard to maintain but the goal is to be a global icon, not to be a barbie doll known just around here. I don’t just want to be popular, I want to be one of the persons who made great changes that will build our industry. I want to help other ladies and if I can help take out a lot of pressure from women in the industry, it will really be great”
