The members of Imo State House of Assembly Tuesday resumed from seven weeks recess to continue with their legislative functions in the state.

The speaker, Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins who welcomed the Honourable members, reiterated their commitment towards ensuring that they would not be found wanting in the discharge of their duties to the people of the state and in working hand in hand with the State Government in ensuring that the Rebuild Imo Agenda becomes a reality.

Collins enjoined the members to remember the reasons why they were elected by their constituencies to represent them in the hallowed chambers, adding that they should work in unity with each other in other to ensure that the hopes and expectations of the people of the state on them is not cut short.

The plenary was adjourned to Wednesday 16, 2019.

Meanwhile in a meeting with the newly accredited House Correspondent, the House committee chairman on Information and Judiciary, Hon. Dominic Ezerioha congratulated and commended the newly accredited House correspondents for their efforts in publicizing the activities, praying them to continue in it.

The lawmaker urged them to endeavor to shun any form of misleading information that would constitute nuisance in the state as the House is set to be fair and impartial in their resolutions.

Ezerioha stated that the house is aware of their goods works and so would ensure to make their welfare their utmost priority.
