The Taiwanese government has expressed its commitment to invest in Imo State if the United Progressive Party, UPP, governorship candidate, Hon. Tony Nwulu, is elected the State Governor in 2019.

This was revealed by the Taiwan Head of Mission of Nigeria, Vincent Yang when he paid a courtesy call on the guber hopeful in Abuja.

Mr. Yang described Nwulu as a brand Ambassador and gave kudos to the Federal lawmaker on his ambition to become Governor of Imo State, assuring that the Taiwanese government will roll in huge investments in Imo State when Nwulu assumes office as Governor.

He said Nwulu has made a huge impact in Nigeria’s parliament by successfully initiating and ensuring the passage into law the Not Too Young To Run Act, a law which gave a huge boost to Nigerian youths to active part in governance in Nigeria

In his remarks, Hon Nwulu commended the Mr. Yang for the visit and unveiled his development plan for Imo State to him prepared by the United Progressive Party, UPP. He said Taiwan will be a crucial player and critical partner in the State when he is elected Governor of Imo State in 2019.

Nwulu said a UPP led administration in Imo State will focus on security, Agriculture, tourism and industrialization. He lamented on abandoned hospitals littered across the State, assuring that within six months in office as Governor, he will fix the decaying infrastructure of the State. He assured Mr. Yang that he will bring him to Imo State to familiarize with the people of the State describing Imolites as hardworking and friendly.

He said the State have great potentials in agro – allied, tourism and solid minerals.
