Odumodublvck Claims Some Nigerian Artistes Use Jazz to Get Hit Songs

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has alleged that some artistes resort to voodoo, commonly referred to as jazz, in their efforts to produce hit songs.
The rapper made the claim during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he discussed the challenges of achieving commercial success in the Nigerian music industry.
Odumodublvck said securing a hit song was difficult, noting that some musicians go through their entire careers without producing a widely successful record.
“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit,” he said.
He also praised Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for their ability to consistently release hit songs over several years.
According to the rapper, the three music stars have maintained a level of commercial success that deserves recognition, given the difficulty of producing songs that achieve widespread popularity.
“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years. You have to respect that,” he said.
Odumodublvck added that some artistes never manage to record a hit song throughout their careers, highlighting the competitive nature of the music industry.
His comments have brought attention to the pressures musicians face in their pursuit of commercial success. However, he did not identify any artiste he believed had used voodoo to achieve musical success.
