Carrick Denies Having Two Matches to Save Manchester United Job

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dismissed reports suggesting he has just two matches to save his job following the club’s poor run of results.

Carrick addressed the reports on Monday during a press conference ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League encounter with Roma at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have reportedly gone nine consecutive matches without a victory in all competitions, increasing pressure on the manager.

Reports had suggested that Carrick could be given two games to improve the team’s results before the international break or risk losing his position.

However, the United manager rejected the suggestion that his job depended on the outcome of the next two fixtures.

“No, not at all. I can look into the future… you never know what is going to happen,” Carrick said.

He insisted that he was focused on the upcoming match against Roma, despite the team’s recent struggles.

“I can’t wait for the game tomorrow. You might think I’m crazy with the results we’ve had,” he added.

Carrick also acknowledged that the situation after the Roma fixture could develop in different directions, saying: “Whatever happens is going to happen after that in whatever direction it goes in.”

Following the Champions League encounter, Manchester United are scheduled to host Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.
