Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Reportedly Hospitalised After Prison Altercation

American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly taken to a hospital after an alleged altercation with another inmate at the prison where he is serving his sentence. Reports say the incident occurred during his daily break from the facility’s Special Housing Unit (SHU).

According to TMZ, the confrontation happened after Combs had already been placed in the SHU following an NBC News report. The circumstances surrounding the alleged fight have not been fully established in the information provided.

Both Combs and the other inmate were reportedly ordered to spend two weeks in solitary confinement as punishment for the alleged altercation, TMZ reported.

Combs was reportedly taken by ambulance to an outside medical facility at about 1am on Saturday, October 10, before returning to prison later that morning. People magazine separately confirmed his hospitalisation.

However, a representative for Combs said the circumstances surrounding the reported injury were still being verified. No further details about the nature or severity of the injury were provided in the report.

The 56-year-old rapper’s projected release date has also reportedly shifted from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028. The information available does not establish any official connection between the revised date and the alleged prison incident.

Combs is serving a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. One of the cases involved his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.

The reported hospitalisation and disciplinary action add another development to Combs’ time in custody. However, details of the alleged altercation and the circumstances behind the reported change to his release date remain unclear.
