Poco Lee Faces UK Court Hearing Tuesday as Sexual Offence Case Remains Active

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is due back in a United Kingdom court on Tuesday, September 15, as proceedings continue in an ongoing sexual offence case against him.

Poco Lee is scheduled to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, a stage of the UK criminal court process where matters relating to the case and any potential trial are considered.

The latest hearing comes amid claims circulating online that the entertainer had been released from custody and that the complainant had withdrawn the allegations. However, the UK Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the case remains active.

The CPS also confirmed that Poco Lee is still expected to attend the scheduled hearing. It did not disclose whether he is currently being held in custody or has been granted bail.

The entertainer is facing five charges, including one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The case reportedly followed his visit to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London.

A reporting restriction has been imposed by the court to protect the identity of the complainant. Details that could identify the person involved are therefore restricted.

Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations against him remain matters for the court to determine. Attention is now focused on Tuesday’s hearing and what direction the proceedings will take.
