Adamson Aromaegbe, founder and General Overseer of Rock Word Church and Dominion International, has died, the ministry has confirmed. The Port Harcourt-based gospel preacher reportedly died on Friday, although the circumstances surrounding his death have not been disclosed.
The church announced his death in a statement issued on Sunday by Rev Nnamdy Echezona and published on the ministry’s Facebook page.
The announcement has prompted condolences from members, followers and well-wishers who knew Aromaegbe through his ministry and Christian teaching. The church described him as a leader whose work had influenced many people.
According to the statement, Aromaegbe was regarded by the ministry as a “faithful servant of God, visionary leader, teacher, mentor and Kingdom builder.”
Church leaders appealed to members and the wider Dominion International family to remember his relatives and the ministry in their prayers during the period of mourning.
The church said arrangements for his Celebration of Life would be announced later. No further details about the cause or circumstances of his death were provided.
The ministry also said Aromaegbe’s physical absence would be deeply felt, while expressing confidence in the Christian hope of eternal life and describing his legacy as one that would continue to influence future generations.
