The long-running rift within the P-Square family has taken another emotional turn after Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, reacted to fresh allegations made by his twin brother, Peter Okoye (Mr P), involving their late mother.

Rudeboy appeared to respond on Friday through a post on his social media pages, writing: “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.” Although he did not directly mention his brother, many fans interpreted the message as a response to Mr P’s latest revelations.

The reaction followed the release of the eighth episode of Mr P’s ongoing video series, where he continues to share his account of the family dispute that led to the collapse of P-Square and strained relationships within the Okoye family.

In the latest episode, Mr P alleged that a family meeting held at his residence in Omole shortly after the birth of his son turned into a confrontation involving their late mother, Josephine Okoye, their brothers Jude, Paul, and Tony, as well as several pastors.

According to Mr P, he and his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, were not offered seats during the meeting and instead sat on the floor. He further claimed that his mother told Lola the family had decided she should leave him alone, an allegation he said left both of them shocked.

Mr P also alleged that Jude later made a derogatory comment about his infant son and claimed that before the child was born, both Jude and Paul opposed the pregnancy and questioned the baby’s paternity. He said his late mother eventually acknowledged that the child was his and urged his brothers to apologise, but the apology never came before her death.

The singer dismissed longstanding claims that his wife had a strained relationship with his mother, insisting Lola cared for her during her illness and remained by her side throughout her treatment.

While Rudeboy did not specifically address the allegations, his brief tribute to their late mother was widely seen as a defence of her memory.

The latest exchange adds to the public fallout between the former P-Square members and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, whose disagreements have expanded beyond music into disputes over business interests, royalties, family relationships, and legal matters.

In previous episodes of his tell-all series, Mr P accused Jude of financial misconduct, issuing threats against him, and attempting to take control of jointly owned assets. Jude has denied several of the allegations, stating that many of the issues are already before the courts, while Rudeboy’s management has maintained that the singer remains focused on his music career and is unwilling to engage in public disputes.
