Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has congratulated Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, on her 55th birthday, applauding her contributions to women’s development and her dedication to family life.
In a goodwill message released on Tuesday, the First Lady extended her best wishes to Mrs. Akpabio, her husband, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, their children and loved ones as she marked the milestone age.
Senator Tinubu praised the former Akwa Ibom First Lady for the impact she made during her years in office, noting that her work continues to inspire women within and outside the state.
“Your impact and legacy, particularly as the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, is commendable and continues to inspire the womenfolk in your State,” the First Lady said.
Mrs. Akpabio served as First Lady of Akwa Ibom State between 2007 and 2015 during the administration of her husband, who was governor of the state at the time.
Beyond her public service, Senator Tinubu commended her commitment to family values, describing her as an example for younger generations amid concerns about the erosion of traditional family structures.
“As a wife and mother, I applaud and salute your love for family; that is an example to young families in times like this, when family values are eroded,” she stated.
The First Lady highlighted the importance of strong family foundations, emphasizing that women who combine leadership, service and family responsibilities play a vital role in nation-building.
She also offered prayers for Mrs. Akpabio’s continued wellbeing, asking God to grant her many more years in good health and happiness.
“I pray that Almighty God grants you long life, in divine health, peace, joy, and abundant blessings,” Tinubu added.
The birthday tribute has attracted goodwill messages from political associates, supporters and well-wishers who have celebrated Mrs. Akpabio’s contributions to public service, women’s empowerment and community development.
As she turns 55, many have reflected on her years of service in Akwa Ibom State and her continued influence in social and humanitarian initiatives.
