Controversial media personality and mother of one, Sophia Momodu, has spoken out against swirling rumours that she is expecting another child. The speculation erupted after a viral video appeared online showing her touching her stomach, sparking claims of a visible baby bump.
In a new video shared on her social media, Momodu confidently put the rumours to rest. Dressed in a crop top and matching trousers, she clearly revealed her midriff, dismissing claims that she is pregnant. “People have been saying I’m pregnant, but I refuse to let such talk control my life,” she said, responding to fans and critics alike.
When questioned directly by a fan, she lashed out at persistent onlookers, accusing them of “watching her uterus” for the past eight years since the birth of her daughter, Imade Adeleke, with music star Davido. She described the attention as invasive and claimed that those spreading the rumours were simply “jobless,” confirming through the video that she is not expecting another child.
Since parting ways with Davido, Momodu has kept her love life largely private. While she occasionally posts cryptic messages about romance, she has avoided publicly revealing any partners. Her discretion has drawn attention, especially following Davido’s high-profile wedding to Chioma in Miami last year, followed by their traditional wedding ceremony. Despite ongoing public interest, Momodu has refrained from reacting to criticism surrounding her personal life.
The pregnancy rumours emerge amid ongoing legal tension involving Davido. Last week, a fan highlighted the lawsuit between Momodu and Davido. She responded by sharing documents related to the case, clarifying that she has only acted as a friend of the mother of one and meant no harm. Momodu also appealed to Davido to forgive her and consider dropping the charges, emphasizing her desire to resolve the matter amicably.
