Lawrence Daniels, the brother of popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has publicly denied claims linking his sister to drug abuse amid growing controversy surrounding her marriage to politician and businessman Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a post shared on his Instagram account @sweezzy1, Lawrence urged the public to disregard the allegations, describing them as unfounded and malicious.
“No marriage without problems. But remember I decided not to speak. There’s no perfect couple. PS: Regina Daniels is not affiliated in any drug abuse or misuse,” he wrote.
His post comes days after Senator Nwoko alleged that Regina was battling substance abuse — claims that sparked widespread reactions across social media and entertainment circles.
Lawrence’s message, seen as a public show of support for his sister, has since drawn mixed reactions online. While some users commended him for defending his family, others speculated about tensions in the actress’s marriage.
Comments on the post ranged from expressions of sympathy to sharp criticism. One user wrote: “Supportive family is everything. I love how he’s standing up for her,” while another commented, “From this write-up, it looks like they’re already planning her return home.”
As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not personally responded to the allegations or her husband’s statement. Her brother’s post, however, appears aimed at protecting her image and calming the mounting speculation surrounding her personal life.
