Officials say the airport’s modern facilities, combined with its strategic location near Lagos and Ibadan, position it as a new hub for domestic and regional travel.

Ogun State government, in a statement signed by Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, described the development as “a breakthrough for the state and a new gateway for Nigeria’s aviation sector.”

Excitement is already building among travellers who see the launch as a faster alternative to road travel, with many industries and corporate players expected to benefit directly from the new connectivity.
