Amorim Backs Mason Mount for Key Role at Manchester United, Hails His Determination

New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has expressed admiration for Mason Mount, revealing plans to utilize the midfielder in two key positions within his tactical system. Mount, who joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, has struggled for game time but is set to enjoy a resurgence under the Portuguese tactician.

Speaking ahead of United’s clash with Ipswich Town, Amorim praised Mount’s commitment and versatility. “Mason Mount… I have to tell you I love that kid. You can look in his eyes and see how much he wants this. That is the most important thing,” Amorim said.

The manager highlighted Mount’s compatibility with his system, saying, “He played in this system, so it’s perfect for him. I have two positions for Mason Mount, so he should be very happy.”

Amorim’s confidence in Mount could mark a turning point for the England international, whose transition to Old Trafford has been hampered by limited opportunities. With Amorim’s arrival injecting fresh energy into United’s campaign, fans are hopeful Mount will thrive in the revamped setup.

Mount’s potential resurgence under Amorim comes as United seek to regain form in the Premier League and challenge for silverware this season.
