Nollywood actress and filmmaker Temitope Osoba will be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, her family has announced.

The burial arrangements were contained in an obituary released by the family on the actress’ Instagram page on Monday.

According to the announcement, Osoba’s remains will leave the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu, at 9am on Thursday.

The burial service is scheduled to hold between 10am and 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo. She will subsequently be interred at the Iperu Remo Cemetery, with mourners asked to wear white.

Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died in early August 2026 at the age of 40. She had spent nearly two decades in the Nigerian film industry, particularly in Yoruba-language productions, and featured in films including Oogun Mi.

The actress had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and announced her recovery and return to acting in August 2025, describing the period as one of healing and a fresh start.

Her death was followed by conflicting accounts from people close to her over the circumstances surrounding her final hours. Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, and members of her family reportedly gave different accounts, prompting calls for an investigation into what happened.

Actor Yomi Fabiyi was among those who called for an investigation and autopsy to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

Osoba’s burial was initially scheduled for August 13 but was postponed by the family. The family has now fixed September 10 for her final rites.
