Award-winning Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that maintaining his lifestyle as a global music star costs him hundreds of millions of naira every month.

Speaking during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, the singer disclosed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 monthly—an amount equivalent to roughly ₦300 million to ₦400 million, depending on the prevailing exchange rate.

Davido explained that the figure covers only his personal monthly expenses and does not include the spending of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or the costs of running his entire household.

“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” the singer said.

The Grammy-nominated artiste added that the estimate also excludes major luxury purchases such as expensive cars and jewellery, suggesting that his total spending could be significantly higher whenever he acquires high-end assets.

“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he added.

Known for his lavish lifestyle, private jet travels, luxury vehicles and designer fashion, Davido has often given fans a glimpse into the financial demands that come with being one of Africa’s biggest music exports. His latest revelation has once again sparked conversations on social media about celebrity lifestyles, wealth and the cost of maintaining global stardom.

The singer remains one of Nigeria’s highest-earning entertainers, with income generated from music sales, international tours, endorsement deals, streaming royalties and business investments.
