Abia State has partnered with the Made in Nigeria Project Office to host activities for the National Products Fair 2026, a nationwide initiative designed to promote indigenous manufacturing, innovation and investment across Nigeria.
The partnership was announced during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Made in Nigeria Project Office, led by its Executive Director and National Coordinator, Hon. Nwabueze George, to the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, at Government House, Umuahia.
The National Products Fair, packaged by the Made in Nigeria Project Office, will feature a series of programmes, including the National Products Expo 2026, bringing together manufacturers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), innovators, investors and policymakers to showcase locally made products and strengthen Nigeria’s industrial capacity.
Receiving the delegation, Deputy Governor Emetu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to policies that encourage local production, industrialisation and enterprise development, describing the initiative as one that aligns with Abia’s economic agenda.

Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, Mazi Michael Enyinnaya Akpara, said the collaboration would open new opportunities for businesses in the state while consolidating Abia’s position as one of Nigeria’s leading manufacturing and entrepreneurial centres.
Executive Director and National Coordinator of the Made in Nigeria Project Office, Hon. Nwabueze George, said the National Products Fair is part of a broader strategy to build globally competitive Nigerian brands by increasing support for indigenous industries and expanding market access for local manufacturers.
“The National Products Fair is designed to celebrate Nigerian ingenuity, connect businesses with new markets and encourage greater confidence in Made-in-Nigeria products. Through our partnership with Abia State, we are creating a platform that will benefit manufacturers, innovators and investors alike,” George said.
The National Products Fair 2026 is expected to attract businesses, industry stakeholders and investors from across Nigeria, providing a platform to promote Made-in-Nigeria products, encourage strategic partnerships and drive economic growth through local production.
