A high-stakes celebrity boxing showdown in Lagos ended with both bragging rights and a massive cash prize, as Carter Efe defeated Portable in a decisive bout at Chaos in the Ring 4.
The event, held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, saw Lagos businessman Emeka Okonkwo reaffirm his promise of a N50 million reward for the winner. Speaking after the fight, he made it clear there would be no delay in fulfilling his pledge.
“You know we put our money where our mouth is… congratulations Carter on your win. N50 million for you,” E-Money said, drawing cheers from the audience.
The night capped weeks of intense rivalry between the two entertainers, whose pre-fight exchanges had built anticipation. Portable, known for his aggressive persona, had entered the bout confident of securing a third celebrity boxing victory after previous wins over other public figures.
True to his style, Portable started the fight with wild, energetic punches, attempting to overwhelm his opponent early. But Carter Efe maintained composure, using his reach advantage to land controlled uppercuts and body shots that gradually shifted momentum in his favour.
As the rounds progressed, Efe’s precision became more evident. While Portable continued swinging and clinching, Efe delivered cleaner combinations, steadily outclassing the street-hop star and taking control of the contest.
By the end of the fight, the judges’ scorecards told a clear story. All three officials scored the bout 27-30, handing Carter Efe a unanimous decision victory and the celebrity boxing crown.
Event organiser Ezekiel Adamu praised the outcome, saying the spectacle lived up to expectations. “We promised Chaos in the Ring, and we delivered very entertaining fights tonight,” he said.
Beyond the headline bout, the night also featured major title fights. Godday Appah emerged as the new WBO Africa cruiserweight champion, while Basit Adebayo secured another continental title in a separate contest.
For Carter Efe, the victory delivers more than just bragging rights—it cements his status in the growing world of celebrity boxing and comes with a N50 million reward that underscores the scale of the event.
